The Ownership Project is pleased to present Kakadu Young Artists featuring linocut, collagraph and drypoint etching work made by young people and senior artists together in the community arts space at West Arnhem College at Jabiru.

Begun in 2011, printmaking initiatives with the Maddjinberri, Djirrbiyuk and Manabadduma communities within the Kakadu region, Northern Territory, are supported by the Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation, facilitated in partnership with West Arnhem College at Jabiru, Blake Consults, Community Prophets, and Children’s Ground.

Following successful exhibitions at recent Mahbilil Festivals, a new body of work has emerged from further workshops. In coming months, the works in Kakadu Young Artists will tour to Lunawanna Alonnah/Bruny Island and Garramalang/Darwin. Artists: Belinda Djandomerr, Cecily Djandomerr, Corben Nabanardi, Deonus Djandomerr, Emma Douglas, Hezakiah Lane, Jimmy Marimowa, Kaylene Djandomerr, Lee Nabarlambarl, Nakita Hardy, Nonika Hardy, Phillipa Douglas, Roxanne Naborlhborlh, Saul Williams, Schulastic Waldock, Shelton Nango, Sonya Nango, Vanessa Douglas, Vicki Wood.
